Designed by Alicia Koh from Ipoise Design, this 700sqf three-room Housing Board flat belongs to a young couple who requested a simple and spacious home. The contemporary style space, which features Scandinavian and industrial elements, is dressed in black, white, and brown – neutral tones that create a relaxing atmosphere. The colour-zoned foyer features a full-height cabinet with a mirror door; the bricklook laminate used here is easy to clean and a more affordable option, too.
To provide more room for storage, Ipoise designed a hidden cabinet behind the TV wall, and a full-height cabinet in the kitchen’s laundry area. The open-concept living and dining area visually enlarges this modestly sized flat, while the tempered glass walls of the study room further create an airy and spacious look by allowing more light to flow within the space.
Past the kitchen and study room is a narrow wardrobe-cumwalkway – in black, to match the kitchen cabinets. It’s also a designated space for the couple to show off their hats and jackets on a row of hooks. The bedroom, tucked at the end, is a private and cosy space.
