Taking inspiration from the Singaporean homeowner’s favourite fashion designer, the design team injected an air of understated opulence and sheer elegance into this chic London pad. DOMENICA TAN finds out more about this metropolitan abode.
A holiday home for a high-flying Singaporean businesswoman, this understatedly luxurious three-bedroom apartment in Chelsea, London, was refurbished to inject life into a previously uninspiring, dull space. Working with interior designers Andrea Milward (right) and Alison Teverini (left), the lady of the home gave a clear brief: As a fan of fashion designer brand Chanel, she wanted her home to channel a Chanel-inspired look, as well as incorporate hints of 1950s luxe, in a glamourchic style to imbue the home with warmth and character.

In creating a moody yet bold look in the second bedroom, charcoal greys and darker hues were used. To draw the eye in, Andrea accented the space with gold detailing, such as on the bedside lamps, and positioned a black feather Juju hat above the bed for a quirky, playful touch.
