Transformers: Devastation
Transformers: Devastation delivers the right mix of nostalgia and beat-them-up action. The game captures the look and feel of the original series perfectly, while giving you the controls to hack, smash and transform your classic Autobots.
Transformers (2007)
If you must, Michael Bay’s 2007 live-action Transformers movie is actually passable, and the first is the least worst of the entire series. Worth watching just to see the astoundingly animated bots transform and roll out in real life.
Transformers: Masterpiece
Widely considered to be the toy line for Generation 1 fans, the Masterpiece series by Hasbro and Takara/ Takara Tomy feature amazingly detailed toys that are highly posable, and still look true to their Generation 1 onscreen designs.
The Transformers: The Movie Blu-ray: 30th Anniversary Edition
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the first (and best) Transformers movie is getting a complete remaster to HD from the original 35mm film. The Blu-ray has just been released, and a limited steel book collectible will be out in December.
The Transformers (IDW)
IDW Publishing has done more to flesh out the Transformers mythos in the last few years than any other publisher before or since. We recommend starting with the More Than Meets the Eye comics, then its sister series, Robots in Disguise.
Transformers Prime
If there’s one other Transformers series you have to catch besides the originals, it’s Transformers Prime. The CGI American-produced series offered a dark and coherent take on its characters, winning multiple Daytime Emmy Awards in its three-season run.
