LA DOLCE VITA.
Capri is a small rock in the middle of the sea; it’s quintessentially Italian. They haven’t built any new houses since the ’60s, so all the buildings are now covered in Mediterranean flowers and plants. I love that I don’t have to fly halfway around the world to be in the sun.
GERMAN HOSPITALITY.
My favourite hotel is Brenners Park Hotel in Baden Baden. It’s a one-hour drive away from my house, and it has a beautiful landscape as it’s near the Black Forest. The way they manage the hotel is different because they make you feel like a member of a big family. It’s like coming home.
HOLIDAY MEMORIES.
Whenever I visit a new country, I get inspired to design Karma Beads—I can concentrate all the culture and experiences in those little beads. And I can have them with me all the time, whether at work or play.

VINTAGE OBSESSION.
I enjoy spending weekends at the antique markets in Paris, especially Marche Paul Bert Serpette. You don’t know what you’ll find; it’s full of surprises. Sometimes you’ll find things that you didn’t even know existed. My favourite store is Pheremones, all the items there are black.
SUN, SAND AND SEA.
In America, they have Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard; in Germany, we have Sylt. A quaint island on the border near Denmark, with long sandy beaches, when the sun is shining and it’s not too hot, it’s nice to be out there and see the beautiful sunset.
COMFORT IS KEY.
On the plane, I am most comfortable in a blouse, sweater and cashmere blanket.
“I do not pick up the phone, I do not answer emails, nothing. When I say holiday, I mean holiday.”
BEAUTY MUST-HAVE.
I'm addicted to La Mer. My favourite is the Concentrate, which really helps to hydrate my skin and make it look more radiant.
