EXPECTING 1,800 EXHIBITORS from 60 countries in 17 exhibition halls, boot Düsseldorf in Germany takes in around 670,000 visitors every year. There are several new additions to this edition.

One of them is the Wave at new Surfers Village in Hall 2, which will invite people to try out surfing at the nine-metre wide standing wave. It boasts the Deep Water Surf system that generates a realistic surf feel.

A new element is the event “boot Interior”, which will focus on the interior design and furnishings for megayachts. This is attributed to the rising demand for spa areas with state-of-the-art technology, low-noise cabins and elaborate materials for exclusive designs.

The German Superyacht Conference on Jan 25 at the Intercontinental Hotel will see a line-up of high-calibre speakers support the exclusive flair of the superyachts at boot. Daimler AG Vice President of Design Gorden Wagener will present the keynote on the theme “Transfer of Design”.

Many luxury yacht brands will bring their featured models to Germany: British shipyard Fairline Yachts will have the world premiere of Squadron 53, while Princess Yachts will come with a fleet of eight, including the global debut of V40. Invictus Yacht will present its new CX series flagship – 290 CX and Dutch boatbuilder Keizer Yachts will debut the Keizer 42 at the show. www.boat-duesseldorf.com.
