FOR THE SECOND YEAR Sarab Singh and his Singapore team have taken the Class One title at the Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta (Nov 18-26) in Malaysia, followed by Nick Burns & Fred Kinmonth’s Mandrake III and Steve Manning’s Black Baza.

Jugra Cup went to Malaysian Armed Forces Zuhal, skippered by Mohd Masyuri, held just a one point lead over Geoff Hill’s Antipodes on the start of the final day, and with a first and second, against Antipodes’ third and first. Andrew Cock’s Starlight finished the podium.

David Fuller’s Fujin, with the help of Olympians Jamie Wilmot and son Nathan, won all eight races and took the Class 3 Dato’ Abdul Aziz Ismail Challenge Trophy. John Kara’s Insanity took second and Craig Douglas’ Popeye finished in third.

Chris Mitchell’s Lady Bubbly dominated Class 5 and managed to take the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club Trophy, with Rama Menon’s V.G.Offshore finishing in second and Arne Hayn’s Delite in third.

Jeremy Camp’s little Impala 28 Old Pulteney Blue Angel recovered from a first race loss to win four of the six races and took home the Class 6 Eveline Trophy for the first time. The nail-biting battle between the remaining boats eventually saw Keith Miller’s Sade 2 take second and Simon Read’s Aeolus XC in third. www.rmsir.com.
