SPECTRUM 61 IS a 200-foot superyacht released by Sedlmayer Associates Naval Architects. Its red deck-head panels outside are kept visually constrained by sharp, geometric borders, striking bold contrasts to the otherwise formal black-and-white ship character.

The lower aft deck comprises of beach clubs, gym, boat decks for two gantry-launched tenders up to 11 metres, or one tender and an assortment of water-toys, tender mooring docks, underwater viewing room, refrigerated trash compactor, the engine rooms and centreboards.

The main-deck level has a vast aft-deck entertainment area with infinity pool and spa, lounge seating, and outside bar and grill. The aft and side folding doors can be folded away clearly, over flush reversesill gratings.

Spectrum 61 has bulbous bows, especially designed to provide the bulb geometry necessary for a sailing cat, with spray rails to suit the axe bow.

These hydrodynamic features have produced the unique axe blade and associated bulb recess at each bow. A 1,850kW MTU 12V 4000 M71 main engine is located in each hull, mated with 1.8m CP feathering propellers and associated gears. Quiet 100kW Voith rim-drive thrusters are located in each hull near the bow. Twin foil-rudders in each hull are configured to assure maximum turning efficiency when tacking.

Up to 20 knots is achievable under sail or power in optimum conditions.
