A love of food unites all Singaporeans, so what better way to bond with your kids than making a meal together?

With that aim in mind, Young Parents held its Fun Family Cooking Workshop 2017 on Dec 8 last year at ToTT in Dunearn Road. Here are some of the highlights. Look out for more exciting family events from YP this year!

OKOME

Cultivated in the US, this premium shortgrain rice tastes like rice grown in Japan – it is moist, chewy and sticky when cooked.

Okome Shortgrain Rice is celebrated for its succulent and soft texture, and works well with Asian cuisines, from Japanese to Korean to Taiwanese dishes.

Its reasonable price tag means families can easily prepare bento boxes for their loved ones within an affordable budget. Okome is available at all major supermarkets in 1kg, 4.5kg and 5kg packs.

MOUNT ALVERNIA HOSPITAL

Tooth Be Told

Here’s why you should take care of your child’s milk teeth – if they drop out prematurely because of decay, she could get crooked or overcrowded teeth, and it may even affect her speech development.

Help your little one develop good oral hygiene with Kodomo’s Soft & Slim children’s toothbrush ($2.55), which is gentle on young gums while removing food and plaque effectively. Its sugar-free children’s toothpaste ($2.60 for 80g) prevents cavities and protects tooth enamel. Choose from four fruity flavours. Check out the range at leading supermarkets.
