Whiskies aged for five decades or more already cost tens of thousands of dollars.
Renowned distillery The Macallan has enhanced the rarity of these vintages even more by bottling them in exquisite Lalique decanters, introducing six in total in a collaboration that has lasted more than a decade.
A bottle was introduced every two to three years, with the last launched last year. On April 2, The Macallan in Lalique Legacy Collection – featuring all six bottles ranging from 50 to 65 years – will be auctioned for charity at Sotheby’s Hong Kong. It is the only complete and direct-fromdistillery collection worldwide.
NOW, FOR SOME FRESH THINKING
In an age where creativity and idea generation are what stands between an executive and a job-depriving robot, any environment that triggers out-of-thebox thinking is worthy of attention. That’s where Finnish company Huone comes in. Already renowned in Finland for its innovative meeting-space design, Huone recently launched a space in Clarke Quay, its second location in the world, with 11 rooms catering for five to 150 people. Each has a unique concept, with the only common denominator being the existence of tables and chairs. Here’s a sample of what guests can expect.
