Friends say Leo wants to give back to the lady to whom he owes his career – and he’s not letting other women get in the way. Despite his busy filming and dating schedules, Leo makes time for his mum, once taking her on a date to the British Science museum and buying her a Chanel bag which costs over $16,000.
“She supported this 12-year-old little kid who said, ‘I want to be an actor’, and she drove me to all these auditions,” he said in his touching tribute on stage, “This woman drove me three hours a day to a different school to show me a different opportunity. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be standing up here.”
