These gorgeous seats, designed by some of the world’s most acclaimed designers, are as striking as they are comfortable.

Patricia Urquiola, Beam sofa system

The Beam sofa, is made up of two long soft cushions supported by a base that looks like a beam. This design allows Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola to keep the sofa’s back and armrest flexible and lightweight. A new fabric collection, Gea by Giulio Ridolfo, has been introduced for this sofa; its horizontal stitch lines accentuate the sofa’s sleek profile. Beam is available as a two- and three-seater and chaise longue. Additional accessories such as pouffes and tables, in Canaletto walnut, oak-tinted black, natural oak and stone finishes, are also available.

Philippe Starck, Caprice and Passion chairs

French designer Philippe Starck has extended his Caprice and Passion range of chairs to include seating for both home and office. Introduced to the Cassina collection in 2007, the chairs now come with a tulip swivel base, or a four-spoke swivel base with or without wheels. The seat’s steel structure supports the same nylon shell as before and is available in black, white and taupe matte finishes, as well as polished aluminium. The upholstery comes smooth padded, or quilted.

Zaha Hadid, ZH One armchair

The late famed architect Zaha Hadid’s legacy lives on. She had created the ZH One armchair in collaboration with Cassina, which was launched at Fuorisalone 2016 in Milan. Based on a naunced interpretation of the structure of a cube, the crevasses on the chair, coupled with its curvy legs, reveal the Iraqi designer’s signature style, which incorporates lots of curves and skewed lines.
