Designer Casey Chen’s new cup will keep your style in check while you’re pondering New Year’s resolutions over a hot beverage. Inspiration for the whimsical design and sensual texture of the Cloud cup was actually drawn from views of the sky in Singapore. The local designer collaborated with noted Japanese porcelain producer, Miyama, to manufacture the Cloud espresso cup and saucer. The intricate details are complemented by the use of white and blue colours to reflect Peranakan culture in Singapore. This collaboration also marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Singapore.
