Andy Warhol – Social Circus

Jan 16 to 2 9 at Block 47 Gillman Barracks

For the first time in Asia, a rare collection of Andy Warhol polaroids taken of celebrities, such as Andre Leon Talley and Candy Spelling, in the 1970s and 1980s will be displayed. These were taken between 1958 to 1987, and served as inspiration for the large-scale portraits Warhol was best known for. The exhibition is organised by art collector Ryan Su, and is his debut show for The Ryan Foundation, which aims to promote arts education and nature conservation.

Prudential Eye Award s 2016 Exhibition

Jan 16 to M arch 27 at the Art Science Museum, Marina Bay Sands

See the works of the 15 shortlisted artists for the award here. Featuring various media including painting, installation, digital/video, sculpture and photography, the finalists include Singapore’s own Robert Zhao, nominated in the Best Emerging Artist Using Photography category. Black and white photography works from Zhao’s “From The Series Singapore 1925-2025” will be displayed at the exhibition.
