Being the largest mall in Singapore’s north, it is little wonder Yishun’s new megamall Northpoint City has a Harvey Norman outlet proportionate to its capacious size. The third superstore by the Australian retail chain on our island, shoppers living in the north no longer need to travel far to acquire the homeware products they need.
Officially launched on Jan 6, the 34,122sqf department store is split between two levels – Basement 1 and 2 – and is located in the mall’s south wing. Conveniently located opposite Yishun MRT station and next to Yishun interchange, the store houses four departments – electrical, IT, furniture and bedding.
Shoppers looking for soft furnishings are offered a comprehensive range of sofas, recliners, mattresses and accessories in Basement 1, where the furniture and bedding departments can be found. Expect designed- and made-in-Italy and Germany furniture, and also brands exclusive to Harvey Norman stores such as ALF, Saporini, Stellani and Oliver B.
A wide range of electrical appliances and IT equipment from major brands can be found in Basement 2. Not only will customers be able to better visualise the look of the appliances thanks to built-in kitchen displays, they can also anticipate live cooking demonstrations and pick up cooking and baking tips. Young or old, there is bound to be something for everyone here.
