Furniture store specialising in Scandinavian designs.
Muted hues and sensual textures evoke the hygge feel in a living room setting.
Scandinavian-style furniture is a popular option for homeowners. What’s iconic about Scandinavian designs? The aesthetics are often clean and sleek, yet still achieve a sense of hygge, creating a balance between an understated, minimalist look and a welcoming ambience.
“More homeowners are looking for furniture in materials such as marble, glass and brass,” shares Chang Liu, owner of Urbanordic, a newly open furniture retail store. It specialises in pieces from brands such as Wendelbo, Won and Verdon.
Sitting on the fourth floor of Tan Boon Liat Building, the Urbanordic showroom sports a wide range of sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, side tables and accessories including rugs, mirrors, lamps and art prints.
“Many of the sofas we carry are stylish and practical, as the upholstery can be removed and washed,” she says. Most of the pieces can also be customised in terms of configuration, as well as material – options span fabric, leather and velvet.
The in-store furniture selection also comes with finishes in bold hues including red and emerald, as well as accents in gold and brass, making them great statement pieces for the home.
Urbanordic is located at #04-07 Tan Boon Liat Building, www.urbanordic.com.
