Chabi Nouri made history when she became the first female CEO of Piaget in 2017. Based in Geneva, she shares her relationship with jewellery, and what to look forward to from the Swiss luxury watchmaker/jeweller.

“I love to discover local designers when I travel. Recent discoveries include Toni Maticevski (Australia) and Kris Goyri (Mexico) for special occasions. My all-time favourite bag brand is Serapian. The Milanese leather brand has the best quality, craft and heritage in making bags.”
Her first watch
“It was a very small sized Cartier Tank watch in yellow gold with a malachite dial. It started my passion for watches and jewellery, and brought me into this amazing world with so much heritage.”

“Because they are timeless, because they are passing through the generations. It is a reminder of a special time or person, and a celebration of a special moment, or just of life or oneself. It’s not only a financial investment; it is an emotional investment that you will be able to share with loved ones.”

“It’s such a personal choice. I believe that one goes with the other, it is very much integrated today and the real experience combines your own life experiences with what you get at Piaget online, as well as offline in stores and at our events.”
On adjusting to WFH
“I think we have all learnt something positive from these challenging times: different ways to live, work, be resilient, and share love and support. I’ve been busy working and adjusting; when not working, I have enjoyed being with my family, spending quality time or improving my cooking skills.”
