New to Chanel Fine Jewellery’s Coco Crush line, recognisable by its “quilted” finish: a cocktail ring that gives the impression of wearing five rings stacked together (on ring finger, in 18K white and yellow gold with diamonds), and a bracelet in the brand’s trademark 18K beige gold. The USP of the grooved rings from Cartier’s Maillon Panthere line, which dates back to 1986: When worn stacked, they recall the chain of the brand’s signature Panthere de Cartier watch. How they’ve been updated: the introduction of bands in 18K white, yellow or pink gold, half paved in diamonds; and a fully paved yellow gold version. Above: Boucheron’s ingeniously simple update of its chunky yet glamorous Quatre ring, which has the appearance of four different bands stacked together? Deconstruct them. Now, there are slimmer rings with a single texture: the ribbed Grosgrain (on index finger, in 18K white gold; and on ring finger, in 18K yellow gold); and the bevelled Quatre Clou de Paris (on index and middle fingers, in 18K yellow gold).
With its honeycomb motif, Chaumet’s Bee My Love line of rings is meant to pay homage to the brand’s most famous client, Napoleon (he chose the insect for his emblem as emperor). Now, there are options with a solitaire diamond of at least 0.30 carats (on ring finger, in 18K white or pink gold). The brand’s graphic Plume rings also get an update: slimmer widths (on index finger, in platinum with diamonds, 18K pink gold, and platinum) for a more demure look. Opposite (inset): Tiffany & Co.’s Tiffany T ring debuted in 2014 with an open, wire design in the form of two conjoined “T”s.
