The homeowners – a young couple – of this four-storey, five-bedroom landed property wanted their home to embody a posh, contemporary look. The team at Black N White House not only fulfilled the brief, but also created practical living spaces for the couple and their children, aged one and three. The house has an overarching colour palette of cream, brown and grey, which ties the look of the various spaces of the home together. This mix of hues can be seen on the stone feature wall in the living room.

Furnishings, such as the cream-coloured cowhide leather sofa, and wood dining table, both from Lifestorey, make for a soothing combination with the dark brown curtains, which add a soft touch to the space. The matte-finished flooring adds yet another dimension of textural contrast. Beyond the dining area, a sliding door leads to the garden where a water feature and landscaping create a relaxing ambience. The kitchen, which looks out onto this view, is dressed in neutral hues with dark cabinet doors and a white countertop.
