FERRETTI YACHTS HAS RELEASED the design and details of its new 920, which is currently being built at the Italian builder’s Cattolica (Rimini) shipyard and set to launch in September. The 92-footer is Ferretti Yachts’ second new model of the year, following the FY780.

The 23.98m motoryacht was designed by the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department, along with Studio Zuccon International Project.

The forward space in the bow is the largest ever for a Ferretti Yachts vessel of this size and the raised bow allows the addition of a wide-body master suite on the main deck.

The cockpit has two layouts based on the arrangement of the aft sofa: a separate sofa or a chaise longue that can be used as a sun pad or a seat for the outdoor dining table. The flybridge is a panoramic deck with freestanding furniture midships and in the stern.

The forward part of the hardtop overlooking the lounge area and the outdoor helm station comes with various options. The traditional grey fibreglass covering can be replaced with a blacked-out window, a sun canopy or variable louvres that shade the area.

The first unit has a three-cabin layout, with a master cabin, a second VIP suite to port side with the same set-up, and a third cabin with single beds. Another version comes with four cabins, with two en-suite doubles to port and two twins to starboard. The yacht can accommodate a tender of up to 4m.

Three different types of MTU engine are available. The standard model is powered by twin 12V 2000 M96L 1,948Mhp engines, which can be upgraded to twin 16V engines, with the 2000 M86 and 2000 M96 generating 2,217mhp and 2,435mhp respectively. The three engine set- ups produce cruising speeds of 23, 24 and 26 knots respectively and top speeds of 26.5, 28 and 30 knots.
