Every year on March 8 – International Women’s Day, women are recognised for their push to break barriers and create a better world for all women.

In the decade that she’s been at the helm of Aware, former lawyer Corinna Lim has spearheaded numerous projects and campaigns – from helping single parents to victims of sexual assault – that have led to positive changes in the community.

Think of domestic violence and you’ll probably picture physical assault. But it can also take on other forms—like emotional, sexual and financial abuse. Two women tell us about the different types of cruelty they suffered at the hands of their loved ones.
