CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND

Singapore’s biggest Yuletide fair, Christmas Wonderland, returns for its fourth year.

Spanning some 57,000 sq m at Gardens by the Bay and featuring a myriad of activities such as acrobatic performances, skating under the stars and carnival games, families will be in for a treat this December.

Marvel at the giant luminous Christmas tree – which is part of the Italian Luminarie light sculptures – or feast on the specially curated menu by Savour. Don’t forget to visit Santa at his Grotto and have your picture taken as a keepsake, as well. The fair will be held from Dec 1 to 26, and admission starts from $4.

KIDSSTOP

Your little one is never too young to learn science, which is why Kidsstop has launched Singapore’s first toddler science programme called Totally Science.It engages kids aged two to three using various fun activities.

Bond with your tot at its 1½-hour Christmas workshop and try your hand at cool experiments, as well as creating festive crafts such as musical instruments, ornaments and more.

The workshop takes place on Dec 9 and costs $50 per parent-child pair, beforeGST and administration charges.

SANTA’S LITTLE HELPER
Does Santa Claus exist? Seven-year-old Albert Tuttle is skeptical about it, until he stumbles upon a big man wearing bright red pyjamas tumbling down his chimney on Christmas Eve.
Incorporating a blend of music, puppetry and storytelling, this is one heartwarming show that’s bound to have everyone singing and laughing along.
Santa’s Little Helper will be staged at the Sota Drama Theatre from Dec 8 to 10. GARDENS BY THE BAY

Fancy a wintry Christmas this December? At Gardens by the Bay, you can experience that without leaving the country.

Its Flower Dome has been transformed into a festive wonderland, with an oversized lavvu – a tent-like dwelling used by the people from Sapmi – taking centre stage, along with Santa’s reading cabin, post office, toy workshop and a candy store sitting amid a floral display.

Outside, you’ll also find Christmas trees and other festive blooms, such as poinsettias and amaryllis. Go after dusk for its mesmerising light display; if you’re lucky, you might even meet Santa Claus himself.

Poinsettia Wishes will run until Jan 8 next year; tickets start from $8 per child (ages three to 12 years old), and $12 per adult.

SNOW CITY

What’s Christmas without snow? Realise Junior’s dream of a winter wonderland when you take him to the Snow City this festive period.

Besides its well-known playground and slide, kids will have snow much fun riding the Arctic Express with The Chipsleys to North Pole.

They will also get to experience snowfall and a blizzard, and get up close and personal with Santa. Admission is $12 per child (for ages three to 12) and $15 per adult.
