CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND
This year’s annual festive fair promises to be bigger and better, with an upsized Santa’s Grotto – the biggest of its kind in Asia – featuring Insta grammable installations and a larger outdoor skating rink. The kids will love experiencing “snow”, exploring gingerbread inflatable houses and taking part in traditional carnival games, among other highlights. Tickets prices start from $4 online and up to two kids under 0.9m enter free for every paying adult; family tickets are available. Nov 30 to Dec 26, Gardens by the Bay.

A SINGAPORE CAROL
What’s Christmas without a heartwarming musical? W!ld Rice puts a local spin on Charles Dicken’s iconic A Christmas Carol in this family-friendly stage production. Broadway Beng’s Sebastian Tan takes on the lead character of miserly millionaire S.K. Loo, who – like Scrooge – is visited by three spirits on Christmas Eve. Expect loads of laughter and catchy songs. The Dec 9 show will be performed in Singapore Sign Language. Tickets start from $70; student discounts available. Nov 23 to Dec 15, Victoria Theatre.

Sorry, Rudolph, penguins are the stars of the show in Jurong Bird Park’s holiday programmes. MARINA BAY SANDS
Watch Santa Claus “fly” his magical sleigh into the Future World at the Artscience Museum, or let the kids bring Santa to “life” to deliver gifts. These fun activities are part of the festive updates at this ongoing exhibition of hightech interactive artworks from Dec 1 to the first week of January 2019. Usual admission charges apply.
While you’re at Marina Bay Sands, make sure to drop by the Digital Light Canvas, where you can help “decorate” the 14-metre tall light sculpture there using your smartphone. Until Dec 26, $5 per entry (kids under two enter free and so do Future World ticket holders).

Disney Tsum Tsum adds a sprinkling of magic to the Christmas floral display at Gardens by the Bay. In this festive floral display, Olaf makes himself at home with a snowy landscape of poinsettias, Christmas berries and holly, Dumbo takes flight with a sled full of presents, while Mickey and his pals try to stack themselves up to decorate the tallest live Christmas! ORCHARD ROAD CHRISTMAS LIGHT UP 2018
The world-famous light-up, which stretches from Tanglin Mall to Plaza Singapura, is led this year by Disney icons such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, as well as your favourite characters from animation hits like Toy Story and Frozen. CHRISTMAS WITH TAYO BUS @ ROCHESTER MALL
Hop on for a fun-filled afternoon with Tayo Bus characters in this event presented by Rochester Mall and organised by Young Parents.
Get in on the action at level 1, where a carnival of exciting activities, such as life-sized tic-tac-toe and Jenga will leave your youngsters returning for more. Pop in at the kids’ rides zone and pick up tips on riding different vehicles and road safety. Up on level 3, a crafts zone promises to keep the tots entertained.
