My Reading Room

Good communication skills are an essential life skill to nurture in children. One way to build your child’s communication skills is through speech and drama, which also helps develop self-confidence, social skills and sense of empathy.

A DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT PROGRAMME

EduDrama is the unique teaching methodology that characterises all Julia Gabriel Centre programmes. It involves learning within a positive environment, inspired by educators who are passionate about children, language and the arts. Using a wide range of drama tools such as improvisation, theatre, mime, puppetry, role-play, masks, storytelling, reading aloud, poetry, creative writing, and visual media, students are inspired and challenged to draw upon their own interpretations and add their own experiences to express their ideas.

CREATIVE PROGRAMMES FOR ALL

The centre runs Early Learning Programmes for children aged six months to 3½ years, Speech and Drama programmes for preschoolers up to post-secondary students, Readers and Writers programmes for children in Nursery 1 to Primary 6, as well as in-house training, certificate courses and workshops for teachers and parents at the Julia Gabriel School of Education, holiday programmes, and School Support Services. Julia Gabriel Centre is also a representative of Trinity College London, with students from kindergarten level and above working towards Trinity College London grade exams.

CARING, DEDICATED AND QUALIFIED SPECIALIST EDUCATORS

The key to Julia Gabriel Centre’s winning curriculum is its team of internationally qualified specialist educators, lifelong learners themselves who believe in nurturing their students to enjoy the learning journey as much as achieving results. As skilled professionals dedicated to education and communication, they are teachers of voice, speech, drama, music and literature, as well as early childhood educators, linguists, and speech and language therapists.
