British marque Bentley has added a Bentayga option designed to win over clients based in the Middle East: a trunk installation that can house falconry equipment. The art of hunting with the adroit assistance of a bird of prey continues to be a popular hobby and sport among well- heeled gents in the region. The most prized falcons make for great status symbols, and often fetch seven-figure sums at auctions.

In line with the prestige of its occupants, the Bentayga Falconry is handcrafted by commissioning arm Mulliner and comprises a flight station where the bird can perch, and a refreshment case that’ll be handy in the desert heat. Some tools of the trade come as options: a leather bird hood and a protective gauntlet, a GPS bird tracker and binoculars. A second, detachable perch sits in the centre of the passenger cabin.
