The secret to a perfect, fresh-faced flush is a makeup formula that applies and absorbs oil like powder but sinks into skin like cream. The new powder-to-cream formulas, like Marc Jacobs Beauty Air Blush ($68, Sephora), do just that. When you swirl one onto the apples of your cheeks with a blush brush, feather-light powders release an undetectable liquid, converting the colour into an airy cream that melts right in. “The result is a tint that doesn’t look too Raggedy Ann,” says Nick Barose, a makeup artist in New York City. “It’s a natural, back-from-vacation glow.”
