ART AND HOTEL STAY EXPERIENCE IN LUXURY NEO-GOTHIC HOTEL.

My Reading Room

The Conservatorium hotel opened in 2011, coinciding with the reopenings of other cultural landmarks like the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum and the Van Gogh Museum.

If you’re making plans to visit Amsterdam in the coming months, we suggest making your time in the Dutch city extra special with an art experience package by the Conservatorium. The Dutch Masters Package includes a two-night stay in a luxurious guest room or suite available from $890 per night, daily breakfast in the hotel’s Brasserie for two, and two tickets to the Hermitage Museum with access to the Dutch Masters From The Hermitage exhibition. Exclusively available till May 27, this package coincides with the brief homecoming of Dutch artworks from St Petersburg, Russia, in the exhibition Dutch Masters From The Hermitage: Treasures Of The Tsars.

The exhibition comprises 63 artworks by some of the most celebrated Dutch Golden Age artists such as Jan Steen, Frans Hals, Anthony van Dyck and Rembrandt. This exclusive package reflects the cultural and historical significance of the exhibition – it is the first time in 350 years that these masterpieces are being displayed on such a scale outside of St Peterburg’s State Hermitage Museum.

Guests of the Conservatorium will also appreciate the artistry of the neo-Gothic architecture in which they will be residing. Originally built as a bank at the end of the 19th century, the eight-storey building was reincarnated as a hotel in 2011 with its interiors restored and refreshed by Italian interior designer Piero Lissoni. Expect a hybrid of modernist and contemporary-chic designs and furniture from leading Italian brands like Living Divani, Kartell and Cassina.

Apart from premium amenities such as luxury linens and private bars, guests at the Conservatorium will be attended to by a personal host who will not only take care of bookings and arrangements, but also create bespoke experiences for each guest.

Located at the heart of the museum district and just a stone’s throw away from other attractions, this package presents a hard to beat experience all you culture vultures won’t want to miss.
