The structure and patterns are made using the lost-wax casting method, which requires molten bronze to be poured into a mould.
OVM is an abbreviation for Osanna Visconti di Modrone, the designer who worked on this home collection.
The table is entirely handmade, hence the organic and beautifully imperfect silhouette. It is available in three sizes: couch table, medium and large.
BIO
Known for its understated and elegant pieces, Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta needs no other identifier than its intrecciato pattern. Launched at the Milan fair last year, the OVM couch table is a perfect representation of this. Its bronze body is skeletal and modest, while the tabletop bears an impeccable resemblance to Bottega Veneta’s signature weaved leather pattern.
TRIVIA
“Bottega Veneta” means Venetian shop in Italian. The luxury brand was founded in 1966, and was one of the few labels whose items did not – and still don’t – bear a logo. Bottega Veneta has a dedicated furniture atelier in Vicenza, in the Veneto region of Italy where it is from.
