THE GAME CHANGER: MULTI-PURPOSE OILS

If versatility came in a bottle, these would be it. There are so many ways you can use them – to moisturise skin and support its natural reparative process; as a radiance booster or post-shave soother; to tame frizz, smooth flyaways or give your mane a soft sheen; to soften dry cuticles; to ease cracked heels... you get the point. These were the two favourites, but like any good disruptor, we predict there will be more to come.

My Reading Room

● Readers’ Choice Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All-over Miracle Oil

This is the brand’s cult Eight Hour Cream in an oil. It feels like liquid silk and spreads easily, whether you’re applying it on your face, body or hair. We especially love the spray attachment that makes application a breeze.

● Editors’ Choice Cle de Peau Beaute Radiant Multi Repair Oil

It has a lightweight texture that’s immediately absorbed into skin and leaves no slippery feel post-application. Four to five drops are enough to moisturise the face and neck, and any residue left on your palms can be used to smooth hair ends. Bonus: the lovely peony- and-orchid scent.
