At the heart of the new Eau Thermale range from French brand Uriage is the hydro-thermal complex, which comprises the famed Uriage Thermal Water, a non-occlusive water patch and aquaxyl.

The first seeks to restore the natural moisture balance in skin by delivering the ideal amount of water to it and maintaining it.

Working in tandem is the water patch, which releases hydrating ingredients into the skin and supports its natural protective barrier, which could be weakened due to factors such as ageing and free-radical damage.

Rounding up the complex, aquaxyl works on improving the skin’s water reserves by reportedly increasing the skin’s natural moisturising factors (substances in the uppermost layers of the skin that help keep the complexion smooth and supple) and preventing moisture loss.

Here, the low-down on the new Uriage Eau Thermale range.
