The benefits of a massage are many – among other things, it can relieve muscle tension and pain, as well as reduce stress and improve posture. Throw in hot stones, and the treatment is at a whole new level.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa’s Hot Lapis Stone Massage ($234 for 60min; $327.60 for 90min) uses an Espa massage oil and heated lapis lazuli stones to help relieve sore, tired muscles and aid relaxation. The semi-precious stones have long been prized by different cultures across history, from the ancient Egyptians to the early Buddhists, for their purported medicinal benefits too – such as balancing thyroid levels, strengthening the neck and vocal cords, and enhancing mental function.

But don’t just come for the massage. The spa’s impressive facilities include 10 treatments rooms – two are couple suites – jacuzzis, steam rooms, saunas and a mineral pool. It is also the first La Mer hotel partner spa in the Asia-Pacific region, boasting the Miracle Broth Facial, which is a must-try treatment exclusive to the spa.
