MOTIVATION TO KEEP FIT

Kudos on your September issue! I was very inspired by Sudha Nair, Her World Woman of the Year 2016. The article Beat 30something Weight Gain also caught my attention, especially the point made about how abdominal obesity rises with age. That’s exactly the issue I face. I sit in the office all day, and upon reaching home, I exhaust myself by catching up on chores and caring for my two kids – there’s no time to work out. I decided to do something about it after realising that my tummy persistently stuck out in dresses! It’s been three months since I started exercising after my kids go to bed, and I definitely see results. It’s a way of loving myself –when we look good, we feel good! Jos

I really love to read magazines, and Her World remains one of my favourites. Besides the usual fashion and beauty tips that most magazines provide, it has in-depth articles on successful women entrepreneurs who really inspire me to keep chasing my dreams. It’s not only their achievements that inspire me but their personal stories. I also really liked the Intro section in the September issue. Marie Lim

Thanks, Her World, for always providing us with quick fixes. Your articles are easily digestible – I liked Eye Do (Sept 2016) for the suggestions on how to freshen up the eye area, while 10 Relationship Quickies (That Aren’t Sex) made me think about spending more quality quiet time with the hubby.
