The shift, the baby doll, the tunic: Many of the dress shapes that grace our wardrobes today have their origins in the creativity of Cristóbal Balenciaga. His memory and sartorial revolution are revisited at “Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion,” a retrospective exhibition at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, housing 100 creations created by him and his protégés, sketches, fabric samples, film and photography. Sure to draw crowds from all over the world, this is a must-visit when in the UK. On from now to 18 February, 2018.
