As the official timer for The World Air Sports Federation, Longines timed the world’s first nonstop transatlantic solo flight by Charles A. Lindbergh in 1927. Ninety years later and the Swiss watch brand is commemorating the record-making event with the launch of the Longines Lindbergh Award: An annual award that sees US$25,000 going towards an outstanding adventurer or pioneer; to be presented for the first time in May 2018, in New York. The 90-piece limited edition Lindbergh Hour Angle Watch was also unveiled to mark the occasion.
