RON ARAD 

Artist, architect and furniture designer Ron Arad is holding a self-titled one-man show at the Gary Tatintsian Gallery in Moscow, Russia. The multi-hyphenate’s exhibition includes his work Last Train, first presented at the 2013 Venice Art Biennale, where a stylus guides a mechanical hand wearing a diamond ring to scratch out an image on a glass canvas. Held throughout London’s Canary Wharf, the installations at Winter Lights include the finalists of the Lumen Prize, the world’s first prize for digital fine art. Look out for sculptures, interactive works and even performance arts, including Passage, an installation developed by French creative agency Bonjour Lab, which decrypts the visual and sound imprints of those who step near it. TATSUO MIYAJIMA: CONNECT WITH EVERYTHING

The Museum of Contemporary Art plays host to the first exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere by one of Japan’s most famous artists, Tatsuo Miyajima. Connect with Everything showcases works from the start of his career onwards, including sculptures, photographs and videos. Drawing on one of his key themes—the Buddhist concept of the cycle of mortality—Miyajima uses LEDs that switch off momentarily, to reflect on the cycle of life, death and rebirth. TAIPEI

TAIWAN INTERNATIONAL VIDEO ART EXHIBITION

For its fifth edition, 27 artists from all over the world have created works for the Taiwan International Video Art Exhibition held in Hong-gah Museum in Beitou, a district near Taipei. Exploring the theme “Negative Horizon,” the artists have attempted to tell the story of movement and migration—a concept that resonates in a country made up mostly of Chinese immigrants in the past century. The exhibition aims to articulate the displacement that plagues refugees today. Look out for works by local artists such as Kao Chung-Li and Indonesian artists Tita Salina and Irwan Ahmet.
