PERPETUAL CALENDAR

With the ability to take into account the varying lengths of each month including leap years (the next time you’ll need to adjust it is in 2100), it’s no wonder Perpetual Calendars are horology’s most revered and coveted grand complication.

Equipped with the ultra-thin mechanical self-winding Caliber 240 Q, these by Patek Philippe rise above and beyond the usual fanfare.

ANNUAL CALENDAR

Last year saw the 20th anniversary of the Annual Calendar, a complication that Patek Philippe introduced when it unveiled the reference 5035 in 1996. Requiring an adjustment just once every year, both these timepieces bear an automatic Caliber 324 S QA LU beneath a Shantung silk décor inspired dial (for the white gold version) and Balinese mother-of-pearl dial (rose gold version).
