EYE CANDY

Make your face your canvas by dressing your peepers with skilful flicks of colour, brush-like washes of shimmer and dabs of pastel scribbles.

HOOK AND EYE

Skip the lash line and go straight to the flick. Using a liquid eyeliner—pick an arresting hue, such as KVD Vegan Beauty’s Ink Well Long-Wear Matte Eyeliner in Outlaw ($32)—and the outer corner of the eye as the starting point, draw a curved line upward towards the brow bone before bringing it sharply back in along the groove of the eye socket. And there you have it: An edgy, graphic hook.

SHADE-SHIFTING GLOW

Duochrome eyeshadow is the fool-proof way of giving your eyes dimension. Use Urban Decay’s Moondust Eyeshadow in Zodiac ($32) all over the lids and watch the colours shift from a smokey brown to olive green as the lights hit from different angles.

COLOUR AT WILL

Treat your eyeliners like crayons and let your inner child run wild. We love Fenty Beauty’s Flypencil Longwear Pencil Eyeliner ($33) for its array of brilliant bolds. But if you prefer pastels, then the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner ($39) is the way to go. There are no restrictions here—just draw lines around the eyes using random colours.

FIERY HIGHLIGHTS

Go ham on the blusher for an easy way to add drama to the eyes. Extend the blusher upward to the temples and brow bones to highlight, contour and add warmth all in one stoke. We dig Dior’s Diorskin Rouge Blush in 080 Red Smile Matte ($73) for warm tones that are suitable for most Asian skin.
