An ultra-thin dress watch with pared-down dial aesthetics, the Piaget Altiplano has adorned the wrists of many men including the likes of Andy Warhol, Mika, Michael B Jordan and Ryan Reynolds since 1957. But for its 60th anniversary this year, the Swiss watchmaker has transformed its icon by painting it in a new light, and rich colours (think pink, green, blue and grey). There are even two models with hard stone dials (turquoise and opal). And just like that, a watch once so closely associated with men has been rendered a chic, elegant number to complement any woman’s wardrobe.
