It might have been Fendi’s boutique reopening fête, but passers-by at Ngee Ann City would be forgiven for thinking it was an Asian movie premiere, what with all the actresses and It girls in attendance. Thailand’s Kimberley Anne Tiamsiri, Malaysia’s Jojo Goh and Singapore’s Fann Wong we re among those celebrating the freshly refurbished space, which houses the country’s first Fendi private room. Lacquered shelves flaunting women’s ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories offered plenty to look at, and so did Karl Lagerfeld’s sketches on the walls, but it was the limited edition Mini Peekaboo bag in velvet with unique tapestry weaving—with only five pieces available worldwide—that was the true star of the night.
