PONY TALES.

Amp things up at the crown for an unusual take on the classic ponytail. Spritz on texturising spray or dry shampoo to give your locks a matte and tousled finish. Next, smooth the back of your hair, gather and secure with a hair-tie. Lightly pull out small pieces of hair around your face and set with hair spray for long-lasting volume.

MAKE WAVES.

Small tweaks to your everyday look can make a huge difference. Case in point: Wearing your hair swept to one side instead of letting it fall naturally. With your hair brushed to the side, the nape of your neck is exposed for an elongated and elegant silhouette. Use a wide-barrel curling iron for a screen-siren effect or go sleek for the ultimate diva look.

TEXTURE PLAY.

Give long, cascading locks an ultra-cool vibe with messy, roughed-up ends. Start by smoothing your hair with a styling cream. Next, spritz hairspray generously from the middle of your hair to the ends and gently pull pieces of hair apart to achieve volume and definition.

ARISTOCRAT CHIC.

Put a youthful spin on an upswept style with an embellished hair accessory. Massage in dry shampoo to give your hair just enough texture, then pull your hair back into a ponytail, twist the ends and secure with bobby pins.

PARED-DOWN LUXE.

A red-carpet favourite, it is easy to see why this sleek and minimalist look is a go-to style for celebrities. Its simplicity is the perfect way to make a statement without overwhelming the rest of your outfit. Using a wide-toothed comb and a strong hold gel, “comb grooves into the hair and maintain a little volume through the top areas,” advises Moroccanoil’s Creative Director, Peter Gray.
