My Reading Room

BINCHO

The tiny alleyway bar serves up some of the meanest yakitori in a 70-year-old Tiong Bahru kopitiam, Japertifs (cool, contemporary Japanese-inspired apertifs) and an impressive selection of Japanese whisky.

THE AULD ALLIANCE

This meticulously curated library of whisky in Rendezvous Hotel boasts one of the most comprehensive selections in the world. Over 1,400 big names, cult brands and old favourites line the walls that encircle a gentleman’s den-like lounge. A perfect place to wind down in.

THE SECRET MERMAID

This enigmatic gem in the Central Business District stocks dozens of spirit labels never before seen in Singapore, and lets you go on a tasting flight where the barman picks three drinks with your preferred elixir— including Catoctin Creek Roundstone Rye, one of the few organic whiskeys in the world.
