Parisian multi-label concept store Colette will cease operations after a fruitful two-decade run. “As all good things must come to an end, after 20 years, Colette [will] be closing its doors on 20 December,” a statement said. Founded by Colette Roussaux, the boutique—which sits along the French capital’s famous Rue Saint Honoré—is noted for setting the blueprint for other multi-label concept stores. Thanks to its groundbreaking retail ideas, merging fashion with lifestyle, it became an important incubator of young emerging talents. Meanwhile, Saint Laurent is reportedly in talks to take over the prime retail space.
