Star Trek fans can now see the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 in its full glory at the National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. Paramount donated the 3.4 meter- long model used in the TV series to the museum in 1974, and by 2014 it was in need of serious repairs.

The Smithsonian spent the last two years painstakingly restoring the Enterprise to its original condition, and the revived model now proudly resides in the museum’s central atrium. Visit it alongside other historical vessels like the Spirit of St. Louis and the Apollo Lunar Module, in the Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall.
