SuitX unveils a flexible exoskeleton for the workplace.

SuitX, a spin-off from the University of California, Berkeley, has launched the Modular Agile eXoskeleton (MAX), a flexible exoskeleton for strenuous workplaces. MAX is made of three exoskeleton modules, backX, shoulderX and legX, for different parts of the body. Each lightweight module can be work independently or combined to work together.

While suitX already makes the Phoenix, an exoskeleton designed to help disabled people get around, MAX is an exoskeleton for the ablebodied to reduce fatigue and prevent injury in industrial workplaces. It supports arduous tasks like lifting, squatting and bending, augmenting its wearer and relieve stress on joints and muscles.
