WHAT THE FEMALE TEAM IS INTO NOW

Je t’aime is one of the first phrases I learnt in French.

1. Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello metal pin, $560, Saint Laurent

“Je t’aime is one of the first phrases I learnt in French. Plus, the typeface brings to mind a Tracey Emin neon.”

IMRAN JALAL, fashion editor

2. Calfskin keychain, $270, Balenciaga

“I’m fascinated by anything with an Art Deco influence. This keychain, inspired by old school hotel key tags, has loads of it without being predictable.”

KIM WONG, art director

3. Silk dress, Jil Sander

“It’s a pity that creative director Rodolfo Paglialunga has bowed out after his two most exciting collections. I love how this (from his penultimate Pre-fall line) looks like gold foil and has that lick of baby blue.”

NOELLE LOH, editor

4. Serpenti Forever leather shoulder bag, Bulgari

“When the brand’s signature bag gets its most party-worthy update, the result is literally star-studded. I’m sold.”

ADELINE ENG, senior designer

5. Leather sofa, Louis Vuitton

“Is it a cloud, or a scallop? Designed by Brazil’s Campana Brothers for LV’s Objets Nomades line, this is in fact a settee inspired by the shell in Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus, and can be separated into eight ottomans.”

HISYAM ABD RAHMAN, designer

6. Platinum and 18K yellow gold earrings with diamonds, Tiffany & Co.

“This is nature at its most beautiful. The intricacies of these earrings, which are from the brand’s 2017 Blue Book collection, evoke the gentle movement of leaves.”

7. Andreas Gursky’s “Kamiokande” (2007), The Universe and Art: An Artistic Voyage Through Space, Artscience Museum (till July 30)

“I’m still blown away by this German artist’s large format photographs after discovering him at the exhibition. This work shows scientists on dinghies, dwarfed by thousands of spherical phototubes used to detect neutrinos, at Japan’s Super-Kamiokande observatory, which is built 1km underground.”
