#1 Bitty Blooms.
From left to right: Delpozo / Carolina Herrera / Chloé / Alexander McQueen / Altuzarra.
Predictable as it is, the floral print is a trend that’s just too fun, flirty and feminine to not be repeatedly revived. This season, it’s about all-over, itty-bitty flower power, so take a leaf out of the books of Zac Posen, Salvatore Ferragamo and Balenciaga and go extra small with those blooms.
#2 Hot Off the Press
Extra! Extra! Read all about it: the newsboy cap is back in season. Just a bit rounder and fuller than a flat cap, it was first popularised in the 19th century but got revived by high street retailers in the 2000s. If you need sun protection, go for the soft cotton ones as they usually have a larger brim. Style it the Bella Hadid way with good ol’ denim.
#3 Ocean Minerals
Minerals from the deep blue are rising in popularity in the beauty world. And no wonder – they’re packed with nutrients to feed your skin and get it glowing. Crystal Moist’s HYDRA ION+ Moisturising Facial Cleanser is infused with Korean Deep Ocean Mineral Water. This moisturising cleanser is also formulated with hyaluronic acid, another highly regarded skincare ingredient, which doesn’t strip your skin of its natural protective oils but provides intense hydration for that coveted K-Beauty glow.
Crystal Moist HYDRA ION+ Moisturising Facial Cleanser retails for $15.90 at leading Guardian outlets.
#4 Bite-sized News
If you’re tired of reading about today’s top headlines, keep up with world events by watching them recreated as cookie decorations. From pop culture to politics, Cookie The News fills you in on the top headlines in cookie form. It’s a pretty cool idea, and sure does a good job of making the news a lot more fun.
#5 EXO Planet
K-Pop sensation EXO will be making a stop here for their third concert tour EXO PLANET #3 – The EXO’rDIUM – on April 2. The first South Korean group in history to hold six sold-out concerts at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena, EXO will be performing hits such as “Growl”, “Wolf” and “Overdose”. Get your tickets, pronto.
#6 Lush Kisses
Love splashing about in a tub with a bath bomb? How about swirling a mini one in your mouth? Well, sort of, because that’s just what Lush’s new mouthwash tabs seem to be – bath bombs for your mouth. Pop one, sip on some water and get ready for a party in your mouth. You’ll very quickly have the freshest of breath, just remember to spit it out after.
#7 NAILING IT
Nail piercings are back. The best part about this ‘90s trend? They don’t hurt one bit ’cos the piercings are done on acrylic or gel layers (though you can do them on your actual nails, of course). To up the bling factor, use rings with beads and diamante stones. Just be sure to go easy on the keyboard at work.
#8 Gym Glamour
Now that athleisure beauty is a thing, there’s no excuse not to look cute while working out. Don’t know where to start? Tarte recently released a mini gym makeup collection called Gym Bag Grabs Athleisure Essentials, as did Milk Makeup with their Vibes Vibes Vibes set. Simply apply some tinted moisturiser and waterproof mascara to look as good as you feel on that treadmill.
#9 Magic Oils
Oils have been a thing for a while now, but Botaneco Garden Trio Oil haircare range contains three organic types you might not have heard of – babassu, baobab and chufa oils. And while most hair products contain silicone, a synthetic ingredient that provides shine, the silicones also seal out nutrients – thankfully, this product range contains none of that. Struggle with hair loss? This series also controls hair fall, so you can look forward to lustrous hair.
Botaneco Garden Trio Oil products retail between $7.90 and $11.90 at all Guardian outlets.
#10 Refashion ‘Em

Founded so that women can sell and shop for quality secondhand clothes without fuss, the largest platform of its kind in Singapore not only reduces textile wastage but also helps you expand your wardrobe without breaking the bank. #11 Switch It Up
The Nintendo Switch has just been released. The gaming console of the moment has three modes – television, tabletop and portable – so you can have your fun both on the go and at home. Some of the most hotly anticipated games include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, 1-2-Switch and Minecraft. Now here’s a great gift idea for bae’s upcoming birthday.
#12 Glitter Litter
The internet is losing its chill over Unicorn Snot Glitter – a translucent, shimmery makeup gel that does a whole lot of magic. It can be swiped across your cheekbones as a highlighter or brushed onto the roots of your hair for an ethereal look. Plus, it comes in various fluorescent colours, including delicioussounding ones like bubblegum pink and neon lemon yellow. Time to dust yourself.
