To overcome your inner critic, clinical psychologist Lisa Firestone advises that you need to acknowledge that this thought process is based on destructive early life experiences. They don’t reflect your present reality, so focus on thinking about who you want to be and what you want to achieve instead. The less you feed that internal enemy, the weaker it becomes.
