Are you even a millennial if you don’t have two Instagram accounts?
These days, it’s not uncommon for a person to juggle two Instagram accounts: a public one, carefully curated; and a second account, usually private, that serves as a dumping ground for anything else that doesn't quite fit your online persona. It seems like almost everyone – from celebs to influencers to us normal people – are doing this. But why? Well, firstly, to not ruin the aesthetics of our public feed. Secondly, just like how we used to have locked Livejournal posts, you sometimes have stuff that you want to pour out online, but only to a selected group of people. And then there are some people who just use their private accounts to share more explicit photos…
