What can we expect from your third studio album, Chapters? It’s such a different-sounding album from my previous projects, so I think a lot of people are going to be pleasantly surprised with a lot of the songs in there. It also features a lot of other artists like Usher, Jhené Aiko and DJ Premier.

What’s your favourite track on the album, and why? “Mannequin”, the first track on the album. That’s my favourite, because I wrote it from scratch – on my piano, in my house – and then I took it over to the studio to work on it with my producers.

Do you have a wish list of other artistes you’d like to work with? I’d like to work with the biggest names, like Beyoncé or Rihanna. It doesn’t have to be a duet or a feature, although that would be great, but since I’m a songwriter, I’d love to write songs for them. I’d really like to work with Beyoncé because I’m a huge fan.

It’s been a decade since you started putting your music on Myspace. And in those 10 years, you’ve made it from Malaysia to LA, put out numerous albums, and even started a fashion line, 14Nov by Yuna Zarai. What’s next for you? I’m just trying to work on more music. I’m ready – I’ve been touring for the past five years and I want it to be a bigger thing. Hopefully, it’ll take me to a new chapter in my life where I’m a touring artist, and that I’ll get to make more albums and, I don’t know, win a Grammy? (laughs) You just never know!

Chapters will be available on iTunes on May 20 for $11.98.

Magna Carta… Holy Grail

JAY-Z

Jay-Z’s twelfth studio album is not only a reflection of his age and maturity, but also his bank account. He "stunts" real hard on tracks like “Picasso Baby” and “F*ckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt” like only a rap mogul knows how.

Watch The Throne

JAY-Z AND KANYE WEST

In “N*ggas in Paris”, Jay-Z asks what does a whopping USD$50,000 mean to a self-made multi-millionaire like himself, and Kanye goes on in “Otis” about how he gets things made custom while we're all just customers. Talk about balling out!

Get Rich Or Die Tryin’

50 CENT

With major club bangers like “In Da Club”, which still gets people pumped up to this day, and hits like "21 Questions" and "P.I.M.P", this album is most definitely a must-listen for hip-hop fans of all stripes.

WEEZER – WEEZER

Even if you’re not a fan of alt-rock, you’ve probably heard of Weezer because of the nostalgic, meme-filled music video for their 2009 single “Pork and Beans”. And luckily for all their fans, the band will be coming down to Singapore for the very first time on August 15. If you’re going to catch them live, be sure to brush up on their newest music off their latest eponymous album, which is also known as "The White Album". With songs titles like “Thank God for Girls” and “Do You Wanna Get High?”, this album sounds like a serious hoot.

Weezer is available on iTunes for $11.98.
