Looking to master a new skill during your Bali holiday? Every Tuesday, Jari Menari entices visitors with its one-day Learn Massage Workshop, a wonderful introduction aimed at new-comers or current practitioners interested in implementing new sequences, philosophies or massage techniques. Under the instruction of Jari Menari’s senior Indonesian massage trainers, participants are taught a nine-step, oil-free massage sequence blending Indonesian massage, pressure-point work, and Breema-Shiatsu with its nurturing touch and rhythmic movements to create physical, spiritual and emotional balance. The workshop begins with a 40-minute introductory yoga session, followed by a three-hour class, which familiarises students with the ‘art of touch’ through practical classroom training and interactive massage. Innovative tips are provided to help participants remember the massage techniques, and attention is focused on the back, head, shoulders and legs. The workshop is fun and reasonably priced, inclusive of lunch and followed by a complimentary 90-minute massage by a Jari Menari practitioner. Participants also receive a training book and a T-shirt, plus the option of a second class, focus- ing on hands, feet and the neck.
