The Promise: A three-in-one formula of moisturiser, sunscreen and foundation featuring Japanese technology. Designed to perfect skin with excellent coverage to smooth fine lines and offers sun protection.

What’s in it: Provide sheer coverage with natural sun protection and the benefits of anti-irritant, antioxidant, anti-pollution extracts honeysuckle and green tea, with a delicate base enhanced by titanium dioxide, an organic UVB. Sodium hyaluronate seals in moisture.

Packaging: Elegant, sleek and handy for travel. Comes in a laminated tube equipped with a backless valve to protect from sun and oxidisation and retain freshness.

Put to the Test: An extensive range of shades is available including Bliss, Glow, Tan, Wheat, Nude, Alabaster and Vanilla so it should be easy enough to find a close match to your skin tone. Its light, silky texture makes it easy to apply, gliding onto the skin beautifully without any chalkiness.

Wear Time: The oil-free formula leaves it feeling fresh all day. Very comfortable, feels as the name suggests, like skin – but better. Due to its light texture, it doesn’t settle into fine lines.

Best for: Someone with fairly good skin who is happy with sheer coverage, as it’s not very buildable and will not cover imperfections. Also good for anyone in a hurry, as you can apply quickly and without having to worry too much about blending. Final Verdict : A bit of a splurge, but does exactly what it says. Closer to a tinted moisturiser than a foundation but enhances skin in a subtle, flattering way. www.chantecaille.com
